Beach Soccer World Cup: Senegal Lands in Quarter Finals



While Nigeria’s hopes of getting to the quarterfinals of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup hang in the balance, the other African side, Senegal, has already landed in the last eight.

Though Gavin Christie scored a penalty, the Bahamas’ dreams of advancing to the knockout stages ended with this defeat.

The Senegalese have underlined that they are a team to watch out for as the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2017 gets nearer to the closing stage.


Building on their nine-goal win over Ecuador, the African champions raced out to a five-goal lead in the first period and never looked back, as the Bahamas struggled to contain Senegal’s attack. Senegal next game is against co-quarterfinalists, Switzerland on Monday.
