Rivers United get tricky CAF Confederation Cup group stage draw

Nigeria’s Rivers United will travel to North Africa, southern Africa as well as the continent’s west coast in their quest to win for Nigeria, the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time. No Nigerian clubside has ever won the tournament since it began 19 years ago following the scrapping of the CAF Cup and the Cup Winners’ tournament.

In the draw conducted in South Africa this Friday, Rivers United are drwan in Group C along with APC Lobito of Angola, Club Africain of Tunisia and Ghana’s Dream FC.
