Messi Makes It 500 For Barca
The Spanish La Liga El Classico is not just about the intense rivalry of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. It is also about the two iconic stars, one from each side.
Cristiano Ronaldo for Real Madrid and Lionel Messi for FC Barcelona. The rivalry is also reflected in the outcome of Sunday’s encounter with FC Barcelona blowing the La Liga’s title race wide open with a sensational 3-2 victory. With the result, Barcelona have jumped to the top, yet, the title is still under Real Madrid’s control since they still have an outstanding match.
The match winner of course was by one of the iconic stars, Lionel Messi who scored almost with the last kick of the encounter. It was his second in the thrilling match.
While the media and cyberspace went agog last week with Ronaldo scoring a milestone 100th goal in the European Championship, Messi had something in his kitty too. On Sunday, he scored his own milestone of 500 goals for FC Barcelona.
