Barca Wants Aurier

FC Barcelona, rueing their surprised elimination from the UEFA Champions League, have reportedly opened talks to seal the transfer of Paris Saint-Germain right-back Serge Aurier despite rumours that he’s agreed a move to Manchester United.
The Cote d’Ivoire international’s future at PSG is in doubt ahead of this summer, and reports this week claimed he was close to sealing a switch to Old Trafford after talks with Jose Mourinho.
Still, Barca could be ready to hijack the move as they try their luck with a swoop for Aurier worth roughly £17million, according to France Football.
United could do with a new right-back this summer despite the fine form of Antonio Valencia, who has been a surprise success since moving into that role permanently this season.
However, Barcelona are also eager to land the 24-year-old as they seek a long-term successor for the legendary Dani Alves, who left last summer.
The likes of Sergi Roberto and Aleix Vidal have both been unconvincing in that position this term, and there’s little doubt Aurier would represent a major upgrade.
