Inter Milan are closing in on a deal for Chelsea target Domenico Berardi, according to reports in Italy.
Domenico Berardi has been in fine form for Sassuolo this season since returning from a long-term knee injury
The winger has scored seven goals and provided four assists in 15 games and is said to have attracted attention from a number of clubs.
Italian outlet CalcioMercato claims Chelsea, Juventus and Inter Milan are all interested in the 22-year-old.
However, the report says Inter have stolen a march on the competition and have been in talks with Sassuolo.
The San Siro club’s sporting director Piero Ausilio has reportedly been given the green light to pursue Berardi.
And the Italy Under-21 international is said to be very interested in making the move to Milan.
Inter’s new Chinese owners Suning Group have reportedly okayed the deal and have given their full backing to Ausilio.
Berardi is expected to command a fee in the region of £35million as Sassuolo look to take advantage of the interest in him.
