Manchester United are reportedly in advanced talks to bring Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman to Old Trafford.
Jose Mourinho is already thought to be on the lookout for fresh talent in the summer with Antoine Griezmann top of his wish list.
But reports in Holland claim the Red Devils are working on a deal for Strootman.
The midfielder has played a key part in Roma’s success this season after overcoming a long-term injury.
Website Soccernews, suggests Manchester United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has been in negotiations with Strootman’s representatives and discussions are at an advanced stage,
The 27-year-old, who has only scored four times this season, is under contract with Roma until the end of next season.
Strootman has been linked with a move to United before when Louis van Gaal was in charge.
Van Gaal was a big fan of Strootman having been impressed by his displays on the international stage, Strootman has 32 caps for the Netherlands.
