In contrast, teams featuring in Euro 2024 will be featuring 23-man squads, going back to the pre COVID -19 era. At Cameroon 2021 played in 2022, teams had 28-man squads.

Also contrasting to AFCON 2023 episode, the Asian Cup in Qatar in January will have 23-man squads. Last year at the World Cup, teams were allowed 26 players.
