Remo Stars continue their impressive run in the Nigeria Premier League after securing another away win.

They defeated Enyimba, 1-0 in a rescheduled match. The win is their second away victory after the one against  Bayelsa United.

They continue to press their position as possible winners of the league after placing third and second in the preceding seasons.

On Wednesday, in Aba, Enyimba  started the game with full confidence after they recorded two consecutive victories and most recent was the win against Bendel Insurance of Benin and the wins lifted the current champions to fifth position on the log.

They dominated to proceeding from the blast of the whistle but they were unable to break down the back-line of the resilient Remo Stars.

Despite all the pressure, it was Remo Stars that got the much-needed goal in the 34th minute through Samad Kadiri.

The defending champions piled more pressure on the Sky-Blue Boys in the second half but they found it extremely difficult to get the equaliser until the referee blew the final whistle.

The result halted the recent pace and progress garnered by the former African champions.

The win thus pushed the Remo side to second position on the log with 19 points as against the current leaders, Lobi Stars with 20 points.
