Struggling Premiership side, Chelsea are believed to be making Nigeria and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, their major attacking target in January.
From various sources, it is gathered that Osimhen is also open to a move to Stamford Bridge.
British newspaper, The Telegraph has also reported that Chelsea are set to make the Napoli striker their priority target for the January transfer window.
The Nigerian striker is believed to be open to a move due to a strained relationship with Napoli president Aurelio Di Laurentiis.
It is believed that Napoli could demand over £100 million for their star striker who has six goals in 11 appearances this season.
Chelsea have a link to Osimhen through Kalidou Koulibaly. The centre-back who spent the last season at Stamford Bridge still has friends at the club and is close to Osimhen as they played together for two years at Napoli.
The Blues have struggled in front of goal throughout the season. Nicolas Jackson is Chelsea’s best scorer in the Premier League with six goals – but three of them were scored against a nine-man Spurs side.
Another thing to consider, though, is the Africa Cup of Nations. Osimhen will be involved with the Nigerian side which would rule him out for most of January.
