Medeama players have cause to jubilate

Nigerian teams are out of the CAF Champions League.  On black Sunday, both Enyimba and Remo Stars are eliminated.

While Enyimba had a goalless outing against Libya’s Al Ahly Bengahzi, Remo Stars redeemed the goal they conceded in Cape Coast, but their nerves failed them in the eventual penalty shootout. They crashed out 3-2 in the eventual penalty shootout after a 1-1 aggregate scoreline.

The goal that could have save Remo Stars in the last minute of the added time was chalked off by the Ivorian referee.
