On Zimbabwe's Kudakwashe Mahachi, Ghana's Medeama SC place their hopes

Ahead of next Sunday’s CAF Champions League opening match with Remo Stars of Nigeria, Ghana’s Medeama SC are backing on their latest import, Kudakwashe Mahachi to stem the spate of home losses that has afflicted the Ghanaian champions.

The club recently signed on Mahachi from Zimbabwe, even as the forward exudes optimism regarding his Medeama’s chances in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.

The club will host Remo Stars on Sunday while the reversed leg will be in Ikenne  a week later. Medeama in a preparatory match with Togo’s champion, ASKO de Kara, lost 1-0  at home. Just last week, it lost 3-2 to newly promoted club, Nations FC.

But their new import remarked that he was optimistic that his club will beat Remo Stars on Sunday.

“Yes, we have a formidable team. I’ve had the chance to observe their training sessions. Our squad comprises quality players. I am confident that everyone who takes the field on that day will give their all. It marks our initial encounter in the Champions League, and we’re committed to clinching victory. With our strong team and competent coaches, I firmly believe we will emerge victorious,” remarked Kudakwashe Mahachi.
