There will be a departure from the past in the football events of the Olympic Games next year in Paris, France.

For the first time since women’s football started at Atlanta ‘96, the Olympic football will conclude with the final of the women’s tournament.

FIFA has also announced that in another first for the women’s event, there will be no double-headers at Paris 2024, with every game a standalone fixture.

In the past, two games were played on match days, with ticket holders having the opportunity of watching two matches.

Paris, the French capital and the host city of the Olympic Games will take centre stage, and host the final of both men and women’s events, the other matches will be spread across seven separate cities.
