Zambia presents the shortest player at Women’s World Cup

Zambia's Avell Chitundu, a midfielder, is the smallest of the 736 players registered for the tournament.

Zambia may have caused sensation following their sensational defeat of Germany in a pre-tournament friendly match. They also have a record going into Australia/New Zealand Women’s World Cup kicking off in few hours time.

One of their players, Avell Chitundu, a midfielder, is the smallest of the 736 players registered for the tournament.

Chitundu is just 1.40m (4ft 7 ins) tall. Another brief player in the Zambian squad is Margaret Belemu who is also under 1.50m.
