That was one landmark decision taken by CAF at their meeting in Rabat at the new headquarters of the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF).
The Executive Committee approved the cancellation of the additional second preliminary of the CAF Confederation Cup.
This means that the 16 winning Clubs of the Second Preliminary round will qualify to the Group Stage of both the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup 2023-2024 season.
