Nigeria’s Aminu Shantali Shuaibu gets CAF appointment

A Nigerian, Aminu Shantali Shuaibu is one of the 13 that the CAF Executive Committee has appointed into the confederation’s Referees’ Committee.

The Committee will be headed by Benin Republic’s  Hugues Alain Adjoyi while the  Vice-President is Victor Gomes from South Africa.

The other members are: Mrs Fatou Gaye from Senegal, Dombouya Aboubacar from Guinea, Ali Mohammed Ahmed from Somalia,  Mrs Tesfanesh Woreta from Ethiopia and Djamel Haimoudi from Algeria.

The others are: Hadqa Yahya from Morocco, Olivier Safari Kabene from Democratic Republic of Congo, Louzaya René Daniel from Congo, Inacio Candido from Angola and Mrs Gladys Lengwe from Zambia

CAF President Motsepe charged them to up hold integrity, independence and credibility of referees, match commissioners and VAR operators.

These according to him are crucial for the respect and growth of African football.  “We are confident that the newly appointed CAF Referees’ Committee members will contribute towards the growth and global competitiveness of football in Africa”, remarked Motsepe.
