Ronaldo to make 200th appearance for Portugal

Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo is poised to make his 200^th appearance for Portugal in a Euro 2024 qualifier away to Iceland this Tuesday.

He is Portugal’s most capped player and record scorer of 122 goals.

“I know I have some of the records for the national team, and that I am the national team’s all-time top scorer”, Ronaldo told Reuters.

“ I also know that I hold some other records, but I say this honestly, I don’t chase records, they chase me and that’s why I am very happy.

“That is where my motivation comes from, to continue playing at the highest level for the national team.”
