Breaking! Israel eliminate Brazil from U20 World Cup

How are the mighty fallen! Five time winners, Brazil are out of the FIFA U-20 World Cup after falling 3-2 to Israel in the quarter-finals played at the  San Juan Stadium  this Saturday night.

After a goalless first half, Brazil opened scoring in the 56th minute through Marcos Leonardo. But four minutes later, Israel equalised through Anan Khalaili.

With nine minutes remaining in regulation time, Brazil regained the lead through Matheus Nascimento.  But never say die! Israel responded two minutes later as Hamza Shibli responded with another equaliser that dragged the game into extra time.

In the 105th minute, Dor Turgeman scored the winner for Israel who become the first team into the semi-final.
