Badminton: Secondary Schools Grassroot  Outreach set to hold clinic at Ikenne LG

Secondary Schools in Ikenne Local Government in Ogun State, South West Nigeria are set to feature in Grassroot Badminton Outreach on Wednesday and Thursday at Ilisan Community Town Hall.

The outreach is mainly for secondary schools physical education (PE) teachers and selected students in Ikenne Local Government.

The training will be organised by the South-West Badminton Outreach in conjunction with the Badminton Federation of Nigeria and powered by Community Sports and Educational Development (CSED) initiative.

The outreach aims to provide a platform for discovering truly young talents as well as allow the students to develop an interest and acquire the basic skills and techniques needed for the game of badminton.

It will also provide a basis for the further development of identified talents. This includes the training of 15 secondary School game masters/ mistresses at the local government.

The CSED Initiative will also offer equipment which include rackets, nets, and shuttlecocks to the participating schools.
