Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen was touted to be the star man at the two matches Nigeria played against Guinea Bissau in Abuja and Bissau.

But the in-form striker failed to score in both matches even though he created many scoring opportunities. Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro in a an interview with the team’s media officer defended the striker.

He described him as not just the best striker in Europe at the moment, but the best in the world.

He said that Osimhen did not score against Guinea Bissau owing to the heavy responsibility attached to his current status.

Peseiro said that fans and teammates alike all expected him to score and that has put heavy pressure on Osimhen.
