Guinea Bissau’s Djurtus leaves Bissau for Abuja this morning

The national team of Guinea Bissau had just one day training session at home on Monday and are already on their way to Abuja, this Tuesday morning.

Sports Village Square has been on their trail. The team left the Osvaldo Vieira International Airport at about 6am Nigerian time aboard a Guinean chartered flight which will also convey the delegation out of Abuja immediately after Friday’s first leg encounter.

The second leg holds on Monday in Bissau. The team will have a stopover in Dakar, Senegal on their way to Abuja.

According to information gathered at the Osvaldo Vieira International Airport in Bissau, the team will stay in Dakar before flying to Nigeria on Wednesday.

All but one of the players called up by Coach Baciro Candé left Bissau Tuesday morning. The last player nicknamed ‘Pele’ is expected to join the squad while in transit in Dakar.

The second-leg match  on Monday  will hold at the Estadio 24 de Setembro in Bissau at upper Bandim in Bissau.
