Real Madrid lands in Rabat for FIFA Club World Cup

Spain’s Real Madrid who will face Egypt’s Al Ahly on Wedensday have arrived  at the Rabat-Sale airport ahead of their participation in the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup, which is being held at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat and at Tangier’s Ibn Batouta Stadium.

The Spanish club shared several videos on their Twitter page documenting their trip from its start until they arrived at Rabat’s airport, as well as the hotel where the team is staying.

Real Madrid are going to play their first game in the tournament against Egyptian football club Al Ahly on Wednesday at 8pm Moroccan time in Rabat’s Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.

Al Ahly played in the tournament’s first round on February 1, defeating New Zealand’s Auckland City (3-0).

The Egyptian club also defeated American Club Seattle Sounders (1-0), on February 4.

Al Ahly is one of the most successful football clubs in Africa and around the world.

It has won the Egyptian Premier League 42 times, the Egyptian Cup 37 times, and the Egyptian Super Cup 12 times. The team is Africa’s most successful club.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are striving to clinch their eighth cup in the tournament.

The Spanish club won the title of world champion seven times, including four Club World Cups (2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018) and three Intercontinental Cups (1960, 1998, and 2002)
