After a stalemate that lasted until the last minute of the match, Al Ahly emerged victorious against Seattle Sounders.

Al Ahly claimed their second victory at the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup, defeating American Club Seattle Sounders 1-0.

In the first half of the match, the two teams were locked into a stalemate, with both delivering a solid performance.

Egyptian midfielder  Mohamed Magdy broke the stalemate in the 89th minute of the match, scoring a decisive late goal for his team from outside the penalty box.

Al Ahly will face European champions Real Madrid in the semi-final. The Spanish club, who possess a star-studded squad, are the favorites to go all the way and win the competition.

For their part, the Sounders are the first team from the US Major League Soccer to earn a spot in the FIFA Club World Cup, following their victory in the 2022 CONCACAF Champions League.
