Even if the party ends at the semi-final stage of the World Cup for Morocco, the Atlas Lions have already hit the biggest football prize money any African team ever dreamt of.

Their worst classification at the Qatar 2022 will be the losing of the third-place match which will rank the team as the fourth.

The prize money for the fourh place is $25 million. In Nigerian currency, this is N11,111,750,000.

Morocco reaching the semifinals in Qatar has seen the team earn more than the 2006 World Cup winner, Italy  received.

Never in football history has any African team hit such a cash prize. Even then, that is the minimum that Morocco’s good run so far has fetched them.
