Cameroon’s Aboubakar sets World Cup record


Vincent Aboubakar on Friday became the first player to score and be sent off in a World Cup match since Zinedine Zidane vs Italy in the 2006 final.
Amercan referee Ismail El Fath gave him a second yellow card which turns red. He got the matching order after he removed his shirt in celebrating the historic goal he scored against Brazil.
The goal meant the for the first time in World Cup history, Brazil had lost to an African team. It was also Cameroon’s first win of a World Cup match in 20 years.
