Ghanaian scores first ever World Cup goal for Qatar


Qatar have recorded their first ever World Cup goal coming in the match with Senegal.
It however came from a Ghanaian, Mohammed Muntari who became a naturalzed citizen before being called up to the Qatar national team in December 2014.
He was born and raised in Ghana before moving to Qatar. He had began his football career at the Golden Lions Soccer Academy, owned by former Ghanaian international Nii Lamptey before moving to Qatar to join El Jaish in 2012. He made his debut for Qatar on 27 December 2014 in a friendly against Estonia and became a scoring debutant.
