Another AS FAR puzzle for Nigeria as Bayelsa Queens get tough semi finals fixture

Bayelsa Queens have beaten the punching bag of Group B of the CAF Women’s Champions League,  Wadi Degla of Egypt by 3-0.

In the effect, they now face hosts, AS FAR of Morocco in a potentially difficult game on Wednesday. AS FAR men’s club has been a difficult side for Nigeria over the years, eliminating all of them in continental ties.

Besides Bayelsa Queens having to face AS FAR at home, Morocco began the current no-win streak that the Super Falcons are facing after Nigeria’s semi-finals elimination in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year.

Super Falcons have since gone five matches without a win.

Expectedly, Bayelsa easily dispatched the Egyptian side which ended the series without a win and scoring no goal but conceded a whoping eight.

Juliet Sunday put Balyesa ahead in the eighth minute before  Mercy Itimi added two others  in the 48th and 53rd minutes.
