Nigeria’s Flamingos succumb to sudden death!

Nigeria U-17 women’s team, Flamingos have crashed out of the championship match of the Women’s U17 World Cup after falling in a sudden death penalty shoot-out in the duel with Colombia.

After a goalless regulation time, Nigeria lost 6-5 in a nervy penalty shoot out. Poor Omamuzo Edafe who was the heroine of the quarter final match with US last week.

This time she missed the decisive kick that would have given Nigeria the match during the regular penalty shootout. Then Folorunsho missed her kick in the sudden death situation. Flamingos  will now face the loser of Germany versus Spain encounter.
