Rivers running dry in Morocco; six goals down

It is going from bad to worse for Nigerian champions, Rivers United as they are already goal-drunk barely 10 minutes into the second half.

Looking obviously dejected after being two goals down at half time, they have now conceded the fourth goal and are 5-2 down on aggregate.

Earlier on, like Plateau United, Rivers United are at the brink of a possible elimination from the CAF Champions League as their hosts, Wydad Casablanca take a 31st minute lead in the return leg match of the second round duel.

With Wydad 1-0 up aggregate scores stand at 2-2, but the away goal in Port Harcourt last Sunday could prove valuable for the Moroccans.

Minutes later, Rivers United goalkeeper after getting firm hold of the ball childishly made a body collision with a Wydad players who expectedly fell down.

Foul! A red card to goalkeeper Seidu Mutawakilu and a penalty kick that was scored for the off the ball incident.
