Nigeria’s Plateau United have been eliminated from the CAF Champions League, no thanks to a questionable penalty kick award by the referee in the 83rd minute of the encounter with Esperance of Tunisia.

With the goal that put aggregate score line at 2-2, Plateau United are eliminated by the away goal rule. They won the first leg 2-1 in Abuja last Sunday.

The controversial penalty kick was awarded and Ben Romdhane beat Suraj Ayeleso to send the home supporters into frenzy.
