The rematch against Usyk has been incredibly lucrative for the British star but AJ still falls short of Fury’s earnings.

Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are two of the biggest names in British sport and are also two of its highest earners, with the amount of interest generated by the pair in the world of heavyweight boxing helping each other.

Following Joshua’s rematch against Usyk, he has just considerably increased his net worth after earning £61 million for the fight which has taken place in Saudi Arabia. His earnings for the fight could yet exceed £98 million once sponsorship deals are taken into account, making Joshua one of the highest earning athletes in the world, according to Forbes.

This figure considerably exceeds the money earned by Tyson Fury for his fight against Dillian Whyte at Wembley in April, with Frank Warren negotiating a £30 million purse for the fight. Fury took home £21.5 million from that fight, considerable earnings but not close to what will be earned by Joshua or Usyk here, with the pair enjoying a 50:50 split.

However, in terms of their net worth, Fury had more in the bank before the fight, with his trilogy against Deontay Wilder earning close to £100 million and giving him a net worth of roughly £130 million Joshua is believed to have a net worth of about $80 million (£67.5 million) per Celebrity Net Worth.

However, with this fight, his net worth is set to exceed £100 million and the figure which is attributed to Fury of £130 million. However, Joshua has set his sights on earning even more prior to his retirement.
