Following the conclusion of the new seasons’ inter-clubs competitions draws in Cairo Egypt, one recurring decimal in the path of the Nigerian quartet of Rivers United, Plateau United, Remo Stars and Kwara United is Morocco.

While Remo Stars will from onset face Morocco’s military club, ASFAR in the Confederation Cup, two other Nigerian clubs have Moroccans lurking around in the subsequent round.

Nigeria’s lead flagbearer, Rivers United will face Liberian side Watanga FC in the opening round, they will face Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca for a place in the group stages. The Moroccan sides are the defending champions.

Kwara United in Confederation Cup also have Moroccan side, RS Berkane to face should they overcome their Niger Republic first round opponents, AS Douanes.

Only Plateau United, in the Champions League have avoided Moroccan time at least in the opening rounds. Instead, they have Tunisia lurking.

In the Tuesday’s draw, they are to face AS Stade Mandji of Gabon in the first round. Should they scale the hurdle, they will face Esperance Sportive de Tunis of Tunisia
