Manchester United have opened talk with a potential salary rival of Cristiano Ronaldo who is currently the club’s highest earner. The club is already in  talks with Frenkie de Jong  over personal terms after agreeing with Barcelona to buy the player for €85m.

De Jong is likely to bag a weekly salary of €300,000 per week at Manchester United before bonuses, according to the UK Mirror.

Cristiano Ronaldo will remain Manchester United’s highest earner with €550K-per-week wages.

Only Ronaldo and David De Gea (€400K-per-week) will earn higher than Frenkie if he joins Man United.

The likes of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane will earn as much as the Dutchman.
