Remo Stars FC are back into winning ways as they beat visiting Gombe United 1-0 in their match-day 32 played behind closed doors in Ikenne. Alimi Sikiru’s 17th minute goal shot up the team a step up the ladder into the fourth position behind run-away leaders, Rivers United, Plateau United and Enugu Rangers.
Remo Stars are just a point behind third placed Enugu Rangers owing to a two-point suspended deduction which could be regained if the club comply fully on the two match behind closed doors ruling by the League Management Company.
A third position in the final placement will earn the sole-proprietor club in the league a continental ticket to feature in the CAF Confederation League next season.
Leaders, Rivers United are still in comfortable position despite losing 1-0 away to Wikki Tourists. They are still seven points ahead of second placed Plateau United who beat Kano Pillars 1-0.
Shooting Stars continued with their fluctuating fortunes as they lost 2-0 away to Dakkada. The loss further pushed former continental greats down the ladder to the 13th position.
Kwara United beat Katsina United 2-0, the same scoreline that Aba Warriors secured against third placed Enugu Rangers.
Heartland, swimming in the murky waters of relegation beat Akwa United 1-0. Sunshine Stars beat Nasarawa United 2-1.
