Ahead of Thursday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiying match with the Super Eagles on Thursday in Abuja, the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone will be landing in Abuja anytime from now.

The team, camped in Conakry, Guinea departed en route Lome for Abuja. The John Keister’s side will have another four full days to put finishing tactics together for the potentially tough away qualifying matche against Nigeria.

The Super Eagles have since 19 January 2022 been on a five match run without a win and will desperately want to put a halt to it. Thursday’s match will be their sixth match since beating Guinea Bissau in Cameroon.

According to information gathered by Sports Village Square in Conakry, Sierra Leone’s  Deputy High Commissioner in Nigeria, Miss Anna Betty Moussa will head the reception party for the Leone Stars at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja.
