Tension in Man United clash ahead of Thursday match with Chelsea

Manchester United will today step up their preparations for Thursday’s Premier League clash with Chelsea.

Following Saturday’s defeat to Arsenal, Manchester United  don’t have much left to play for this season with their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League all but extinguished after slipping six points behind the Gunners in fourth place.

Now Ralf Rangnick  will just hope that his side doesn’t fall to a third heavy defeat to a great rival in succession following on from last week’s 4-0 hammering by Liverpool.

There’s hope that the interim manager’s squad options may be replenished by the returning Fred. The Brazilian has been missing for the last three matches due to a hip injury but hinted on Instagram that he was back in training on Monday.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford  will aim to seek clarity on his role at the club when Erik ten Hag  takes charge this summer.
