Before Black Stars – Super Eagles World Cup play-off, Ghana and Nigeria supporters also play a draw

To ensure a friendly atmosphere ahead of a potentially volatile clash of Ghana and Nigeria in Kumasi, the supporters of both teams played a friendly match at AstroTurf Park in Madina.

The match played on Thursday ended 1-1. The Nigerian Football Supporters’ Club scored first before a late goal by their Ghanaian counterparts ensured the match ended 1-1.

The Ghana Supporters Union and the Nigeria Supporters Union organized the celebratory game in Madina to celebrate the peaceful atmosphere that exist between the two organisations.

The two fan groups also used the game to preach about peace and urge their respective fanbase to go to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to watch the FIFA World Cup play-off first leg between the Black Stars and the Super Eagles on Friday, March 25, 2022.
