Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, German soccer side, Schalke 04 has tweeted that it was removing the logo of  Gazprom from its shirts.

Gazprom is a Russian majority state-owned multinational energy corporation headquartered in the Lakhta Center in Saint Petersburg. The action of Schake 04 is the first sporting sanction target at Russiam

German soccer club Schalke 04 tweeted on Thursday it was removing the logo of Gazprom from its shirts due to recent developments after Russia launched an all-out invasion of Ukraine.
