Plateau United continued its home dominance in the NPFL after securing a win over visiting Shooting Stars at the new stadium in Jos.

Yet to drop a point in the last four games and amassing six points on the road, Plateau United left little to chance in subduing the Oluyole Warriors in the encounter that produced four goals.

Mohammed Zulkifilu opened scoring as early as the seventh minute with a low shot from the centre of the box after shaking off the Stars defence.

With few minutes to end the first half, Shooting Stars punished a lacklustre Plateau defence when Okeowo Oluwaseyi sneaked the ball between Anozie Chinedu legs for the equaliser.

Plateau returned forcefully to the second stanza, mounting consistent pressure which got rewarded with Albert Hilary scoring in the 70th while Nenrot Silas 74th penalty goal sealed victory for Plateau.

The result took the team to 27 points and they climb to the summit of the table pending the outcome of Rivers United match against Abia Warriors. River are on 25 points and a game at hand.
