Remo Stars  continued their unbeaten record with a 0-0 draw against Rangers International in matchday 8 of the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL)

Head Coach of Remo Stars, Gbenga Ogunbote made 3 changes to the side that defeated Abia Warriors 1-0 at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State.

Both sides started slowly into the game but it was Kenechukwu Agu who had the first opportunity for the host but his attempt went wide.

Ifegwu Ojukwu tried his luck from distance to give his side the lead but it deflected out of play, Stanley Okorom took the corner kick but Isah Ali’s attempt flips inches over the bar.

The Flying Antelopes continued to push to go ahead, another opportunity came Kenechukwu Agu’s way, he took at once but the captain of Remo Stars, Junior Nduka throw his body at it to deny the host from going ahead.

Rangers International had a chance towards the closing minutes of the first half to go ahead from Kenechukwu Agu’s freekick but Ossy Martins head it over the bar.

Ifegwu Ojukwu was given a blank Cheque to give the Sky Blue Stars the lead but Bamidele Adeniyi was quick to deny the opportunity of the visitors.

Sunday Williams with a beautiful display to locate Ifegwu Ojukwu, he returned to him and Sunday Williams took at once but the host deflects the ball for a corner kick.

Qudus Akanni grabbed the ball, he raced with the ball forward to send in a good cross but nobody in his shirt was close to get an easy tap in.

The host continued to mount pressure on the visitors, but they stood their ground of picking a point on the road against former champions, Rangers International and the Sky Blue Stars remained unbeaten in the ongoing NPFL season.
