Super Eagles soar high in AFCON Group Stage stats

Published

on

At the conclusion of the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations 2021, only one team ended the stage with 100% performance – winning all three group matches. Tjat team is the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The last time that happened was at Angola 2010 when Egypt won all their group matches. They went on to win the title. Could this be an indication of what will happen on 6 February?

In the 36 matches played, 68 goals were scored. At the same stage of the competition three years ago, there were also 68 goals. These are the two editions with the 24-team format.
