A Nigerian born player has appeared in the scouting radar of troubled FC Barcelona.
He is Karim Adeyemi who the club considered a priority as the January transfer window approaches.
The 19 year old Adeyemi who plays for Austria’s Red Bull Saizburg has a Nigerian father and a Romanian mother. He was born in Munich, Germany which qualifies him to play for any of Nigeria, Germany and Romania.
He has however pledged his international allegiance to Germany having played in the team’s 6-0 win over Armenia in September.
Barcelona, Sports Village Square gathered, are willing to spend 40 million euros on the player who will clock 20 on January 18, 2022.
It has been made clear that Barcelona want to further strengthen in the January transfer window, despite their financial troubles, and one player that the club are hoping to bring in is Karim Adeyemi.
The 19-year-old has caught the eye for the Austrian club so far this season in the Champions League, having scored three goals and provided one assist in four group-stage games, while he managed to win three first-half penalties for Salzburg in their 1-1 draw away at Sevilla on September 14.
