Mamelodi Sundowns break my heart, says Rivers Angels’ Edwin Okon

While the stress of travelling from Nigeria to Cairo Egypt was his excuse for Rivers Angels 3-0 loss to ASFAR of Morocco at the weekend, ill-luck is the reason given by Coach Edwin Okon for another loss by his side in the on-going maiden edition of the CAF Women’s League holding in Egypt.

With Nigeria fast losing their continental grip in women’s football, Rivers Angels succumbed to another defeat, 1-0 to Mamelodi Sundowns to be logically out of title contention.

“It was a good game, but not from our side. We created many chances but did not score. But the goal we conceded is what makes me unhappy.

“This defeat breaks my heart as a coach” Coach Okon remarked after the match.
