With growing displeasure over recent results of Manchester United matches, the club officials are fearing that another major fan protest might take place before the club’s Sunday match with Liverpool.

Already, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is now the second joint favourite to be the next Premier League manager to get the sack this season.

The fears of fan protest escalated at the weekend when fans took to social media to encourage a ‘round two’ of the protest that took place in May.

United’s chiefs are consulting with local authorities, including the Greater Manchester Police, to ensure all the necessary security is in place.

In May,  hundreds of fans broke into the Old Trafford pitch during a huge Glazers Out protest.

They also refused to let the team buses go past the Lowry Hotel.

This resulted in the Liverpool game being postponed to a later date.

But, United will do whatever it takes from stopping any kind of protest from having an impact on the game on Sunday.

United fans are growing frustrated after a series of underwhelming performances in the last few weeks, with the club having lost four out of their previous seven games.
