Iconic Shooting Stars goalkeeper, Zion Ogunfeyimi visits Aso Rock

Legendary IICC Shooting Stars Football Club (now 3SC Football Club) goalkeeper, Zion Ogunfeyimi, was at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, October 13, to visit Femi Adesina, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Ogunfeyimi, now 71, ex-WNDC Football Club goalkeeper, and ex-Green Eagle (1975) was part of the Shooting Stars team that won the first ever international soccer laurel for Nigeria, the Cup Winners Cup, in 1976.

He was also a member of the Green Eagles that placed third at the 1976 Africa Cup of Nations in Ethiopia.

He is easily Nigeria’s foremost soccer diarist and Africa's most capped FIFA World Cup journalist, having attended all FIFA World Cup finals from Italia ’90 to Qatar 2022.
