Although it was an intention of Cristiano Ronaldo to pair up with his eternal fierce rival, Lionel Messi in the same club, Manchester City before the Argentine legend changed course and moved to Paris Saint Germain, providence has re-enacted the players’ fierce rivalry.

Ronaldo is at the verge of signing for Manchester City and will therefore feature for the Premiership side when they face Paris Saint Germain in a Group A clash in the Champions League.

Thus, the Ronaldo – Messi rivalry has been rekindled. This will undoubtedly add more glamour to the 2021/2022 Champions League.
