It is 19 years this Monday 23 August since Nigeria’s premier sports radio station got into the country’s air wave.
Brain child of charismatic sports journalist and entrepreneur, Dr. Larry Izamoje, the station began test transmission on 23 August 2002 before officially hitting the air wave on 1 October of the same year.
Since then, the station has expanded its operations, opening sister stations in Abuja, Kaduna and Onitsha.
It got into international limelight as it was appointed as one of the three lead broadcast partners by Optima Sports Management during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
The station focuses primarily on sports updates and analysis.
