AFCON draw takes Nigeria to Hayatou’s hometown, the farthest venue!

The Super Eagles will play all their three Group D matches in Garoua, Northern Cameroon.

This is the hometown of the former CAF president, Issa Hayoatou and the farthest venue of the tournament.

Nigeria will face Egypt at the 30,000 capacity Roumde Adja Stadium, built in 1978,  serves as a home ground of CotonSport Garoua FC

After the encounter with Egypt on 11 January, Nigeria will face Sudan at the same venue on 15 January  before meeting Guinea Bissau on 19 January.
