Togo’s Agbegnenou wins Olympic gold for France in Judo

This is an emotional win for France’s Clarisse Agbegnenou! The judoka who is of Togolese origin has taken into the golden score extra period by Tina Trstenjak (SLO), scores a waza-ari to win her first Olympic gold medal.

Catherine Beachemin-Pinard (CAN) won her country’s second judo bronze, while Maria Centracchio (ITA) also clinched bronze.
