The rank of Nigerian players in Europe continues to swell as two young ones who went on trial at AA Gent have been offered their first professional contracts.
The players, Adewale Oladoye and Chinonso Emeka – both 19 years old – were reported by Belgian news outlet, HLN sports newspaper and written in Flemish and had to be translated into English.
The two players, both born in 2001were trained by the Nigerian Academy Water FC, where they were noticed by ex-Buffalo, Egu Augustine and Marc Clarysse. The HLN gives an account of the two Nigerians thus: “Oladoye is a powerful defensive midfielder. Emeka is a big, fast striker. They will have the opportunity to mature with the reserves team, and now and now already train along with the first team”.
