There are instances clubs aim to be at the top of the table. But Premier League champions, Liverpool have suddenly found themselves topping another table not desired.
According to premierinjuries.com, there are no less than 128 individual knocks across the Premier League before the return of club football from this Saturday November 21.
The heavy schedule thanks to the late start of the season has put a lot of load on the players, who are picking up injuries at a very fast rate.
While Liverpool are by no means alone in having so many players on the treatment table, they have suffered the most when it comes to total injuries with as many as 10 stars potentially out.
Here are the Liverpool’s currently out injured/self-isolating after testing positive for the coronavirus:
- Trent Alexander-Arnold
- Rhys Williams
- Neco Williams
- Thiago Alcantara
- Joe Gomez
- Mohamed Salah
- Jordan Henderson
- Virgil van Dijk
- Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
The length of some of these injuries is also an issue, with Van Dijk and Gomez likely to be out for the remainder of the season. Oxlade-Chamberlain and Thiago have also been out of action for quite some time.
